CAD Drafter (Stainless Steel Fabrication)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (such as AutoCAD and Inventor) to generate 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and elevations based on design requirements and specifications provided by engineers and design team.
- Collaborate closely with Estimators, Project Managers and Design Engineers to understand design intent and incorporate necessary modifications into drawings.
- Participate in design reviews to provide input on manufacturability, feasibility, and potential improvements to design.
- Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to guidelines.
- Perform thorough quality checks on drawings to identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Estimating and Project Management to address queries and clarify design specifications.
- Work within established project timelines to ensure that drawings are completed and delivered according to project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineering Managers to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a strong understanding of stainless-steel sheet metal properties and fabrication processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Ability to review and interpret architectural drawings.
- Ability to read and understand written specs provided by customers.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes, regulations and standards.
EXPERIENCE:
- AutoCAD: 3 Years (Preferred)
- Drafting: 3 Years (Preferred
EDUCATION:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- 3-5 Years Experience in Drafting
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) and familiarity with 3D modeling techniques.
JOB TYPE:

- Salary commensurate with experience.

- 40 Hour Work Week
- 8 Hour Shift
- Monday to Friday
