CAD Drafter (Stainless Steel Fabrication)

Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (such as AutoCAD and Inventor) to generate 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and elevations based on design requirements and specifications provided by engineers and design team.
Collaborate closely with Estimators, Project Managers and Design Engineers to understand design intent and incorporate necessary modifications into drawings.
Participate in design reviews to provide input on manufacturability, feasibility, and potential improvements to design.
Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to guidelines.
Perform thorough quality checks on drawings to identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies.
Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Estimating and Project Management to address queries and clarify design specifications.
Work within established project timelines to ensure that drawings are completed and delivered according to project schedules.
Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineering Managers to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.

Possess a strong understanding of stainless-steel sheet metal properties and fabrication processes.
Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
Ability to review and interpret architectural drawings.
Ability to read and understand written specs provided by customers.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, regulations and standards.

Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
3-5 Years Experience in Drafting
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) and familiarity with 3D modeling techniques.
