Summary

The Polisher is responsible for grinding and polishing of stainless-steel products, matching work orders to product, completing required documentation for product and inspecting finished product to ensure products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of thin gauge stainless steel items, using hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques.

  • Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal.

  • Removes dents, using hammer and dolly block.

  • Smooths surface of item to specified finish, using hand tools and powered tools.

  • May polish metal surface, using powered polishing wheel or belt.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Solid background working with sheet metal.

  • Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.

  • Ability to distinguish material types including Galvanized and Stainless Steel.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, multi-task and prioritize in an effective

    way.

  • Must be a strong team player.

  • Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.

Job Type

  • Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Education

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • 2+ years of stainless polishing experience preferred.
